Well for anyone wanting to use their phone as a modem with their laptop when
traveling like I have been doing for years I learned a couple things today
after talking to tech support. But first I was grandfathered in for the
internet $19.99 plan. Second when you set up a dialup connection with your
Bluetooth phone/modem you can't cut and paste that initialization string - TS
said it picks up the HTML - you have to type it in - and third the T-Mo online
configurater that you use to send internet settings to your phone is for the
internet on the phone and has nothing to do with connecting to the internet
when using your phone as a modem for your laptop according to TS. That is why
T-Zones wouldn't work on my phone either. Not sure if this makes sense to
anyone but perhaps it will help - next step it to set up T-Mo with Windows Mail
so I can send outgoing email since I can only use Road Runner to receive. Hope
it works as it did with Outlook Express. DonnaB

The 19.99 internet plan doesn't exist any longer. If you didn't have it
before the change then you are SOL. The new internet plan is 24.99. The data
plans changed in early Novemeber. The price increase is a side effect of
t-mo's 3G launch and applies whether you have 3G available or not. If you
have the 19.99 plan now nothing has changed for you, my wife's line is
grandfathered with this data option.

I tried calling T-Mo CS today but they are closed. Not sure if anyone can
help with my problem. I activated the internet plan to use my phone as a
modem which I have done in the past. I went online with the configurator
(VERY old link) and selected internet for my phone. I set up a dial up
connection on my computer running Vista. I cannot get online (via Bluetooth)
