If you examine every other time a company has taken over another company they
take over everything including debts. Being taken over is not an out in your
agreement. The only way you get an out with your agreement is if they change
the terms of the contract. As long as the company that takes over abides by
original terms you have no out without paying an ETF. This is not something
new. This has happened many times before. Changing companies is not an out
for any contract you have.

If you are not a lawyer how can you speak of legalities?
