I've never used fine reeled silk, but I have used silk cord for making
a belt. It was lovely to work with---the tablets turned easily, the
shed was always clean, and it was easy to get a uniform beat.
I had to dye some of the white cord black, but I ended up with only a
medium grey---I could probably do better now by asking some of my
friends what silk dyes they have found most successful.
