Thanks Patty...
I've just gotten back to TW in preparation for the class and also for a
program that I've volunteered to organize at a school where I live. It
will be my first time working with a group of 8-12 year-olds so that will
be interesting and rewarding I'm sure.
My textile adventures? Well I've done a whole lot of Navajo-style weaving,
and a bunch of tapestries, and have lately been really concentrating on
3-shaft weaves -- inspired by wonderful examples from Norway, my on-going
interest in crackle weave, and most definitely by having done the six-sided
tablet weaving research. Getting that number 3 into any weave structure
introduces similar "degrees of freedom" in both tablet weaving and loom
weaving and I find it very interesting to explore the design implications.
I often wonder if six-sided TW is being done much?? I'd love to hear about
anyone's interest...

So you've been to China? It's been a long time since we've heard from
you. So glad you've resurfaced. Would love to hear more of your recent
textile adventures and am wondering if you are still "twisting with six"
(sided tablets that is)??
