Here is a translation - the best I could do:
The Evebø (name of the place in Norway, where a fragment of the band was
found) from the migration period (appr. 500 after Christ) is absolutely one of
my favorit works. It is made with the technique doubble faces 3/1 broken twill,
the same technicque as the band of wool from Mammen (a place in Denmark, where
a band was found - but from app. 900 years a. Chr), but in the Evebø the
technicque is used to it's best, which is seen in the very beautifull diagonals
(the green diagonals between the animals).
I have made the band in very thin linen.
Length 2,60 meter, with: 1,5 cm
I have the pattern from a book "Tablet weaving" by Egon Hansen, but the
pattern is also described in Peter Collingwoods book The Techniques of tablet
weaving

som f. eks det uldne bånd fra Mammen, men her er teknikken virkelig udnyttet,
hvilket ses på de flotte diagonaler, der ligger i bundvævningen.
Vævet i tyndt hør.
