Howdy, folks!

I'm going to be teaching at Kid & Ewe in Boerne (near San Antonio) in November.
 Details in the class description:

The X-Shed Files: Card Woven Brocade
 Saturday November 8, 2008 2 pm to 5 pm
Instructor: Michael Cook
Workshop Fee: $45
Supply Fee: $20

Workshop Size: 3 to 9 Supply fee includes pack of 29 tablets, thread, handouts
& charts OR, if students want to bring their own pre-warped tablets, then $5
for handouts, charts and miscellaneous. DIY students should contact me in
advance for warping instructions. In this class, students will learn to make
beautiful and intricate brocade designs in tablet-weaving. If you already have
a set of weaving cards / tablets, and wish to bring them pre-warped, please
contact me. This class is intensive rather than extensive; we will focus solely
on this one technique, covering design, weaving, special wefts, and finishing.
If you have a lap-top and wish to bring it, please contact me; there is
software you can download for patterns.

Skills needed: Good basic tablet-weaving skills, including ability to make an
even band with fairly straight edges. This is *not* a beginner class. Ability
to pat head and rub tummy not required, but helpful. Bring an inkle loom and at
least three shuttles, or ask me about loaners
