the most common is crossing=uncontrolled some mappers find it a bad value (and it is) but again, imho that need another propal to avoid an all-in-one too-big-to-be-accepted propal > And what about the absence of road markings? crossing_ref=unmarked? some mapper use crossing_ref=unmarked or crossing_ref=none but imho trying to fix that in the same time 'll fail.
