Hi! I will reply from the entirely personal standpoint as one of the very first OSM contributors in Estonia. My years of active editing are now quite distant but I am still very much interested in OSM and cartography in general. For me this list is the only way to stay in touch with the Estonian OSM community. Difference between a mailing list and forum is obvious - forums require actual action to get into the information feed and for me death of this list would mean losing contact entirely. That would be a pity.
So I propose to leave it open. Best regards.
