I want to add some detail to Little Langdale having acquired some gps tracks
and images this weekend. Has the satellite imagery improved in this area
recently. As I zoom in on JOSM the resolution is very good but on maximum zoom
the quality changes to quite poor. I am guessing this is the older imagery.
It would seem that may features have been drawn to this older imagery but there
is a reasonable (north south) shift between the two sets of images. I wasn't
able to do any waypoint averaging but the waypoints I did acquire would seem to
fit with the position of the higher resolution images. The higher resolution
images and also the gps data in Great Langdale would suggest the road if
further north that it is currently drawn.
I get the impression that new satellite date was added recently for the UK.
Any advice before I start adding data or making any other adjustments would be
appreciated.
