(Sorry for not writing in Swedish to the list but my Swedish is probably much worse than your English.)
Hello all, I live in Malmö and I have done some improvements on Triangeln Station which I believe align better with the "new" public transport feature approved in late 2011, but before I upload my changes I would like to hear the opinion from some other fellow OSMers who live nearby and know the station. The way Triangeln was mapped before the proposed change was that there were two buildings, both marked as a train station, which had the same name. This is a bit misleading since there are not two Triangeln stations; Triangeln is a single underground station that happens to have two separate entrances via two separate buildings. To better reflect reality, I mapped Triangeln as a single underground (layer=-2, same as the platforms) area marked as public_transport=station (and also railway=station for maximum compatibility) where platforms and the buildings are contained within. The two buildings where the entrances are still keep the name "Triangeln Station" but are now marked as building=train_station (and *not* railway=station). Within each building, just at the beginning of the stairs, there is a node tagged with railway=subway_entrance (which besides the name should be applicable to any underground train station) and each node has the name "Nörra upgången" and "Södra uppgången". All these new elements are also part of the existing "Triangeln" relation tagged as public_transport=stop_area. (I'm not really sure if the Triangeln bus stop and the Triangeln train station should really be part of the a single stop_area or not, but that's a separate discussion and I kept the existing relation where both are a single area.) If you want to see the new Triangeln for yourself, I published an OSM XML file with all my changes here (~650KB): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2408400/triangeln.osm.xml I genuinely think that the new layout is an improvement to the current one. What do you all think? Cheers, Leonardo. _______________________________________________ Talk-se mailing list Talk-se@openstreetmap.org http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-se
