Microsoft is denying the drm aspects of it claiming that "no specifics of the extent to which media requirements will be upheld have been finalized" however insiders say otherwise.

I think it will own in many aspects but it will suck in the locking down of things. For example, any music content you play needs a microsoft licence. If it doesn't have that, the computer locks down the soundcard, according to early reports. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Drop9" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Well as to vista I think it will own. Yes I am sighted and that is why I am
saying it. Vista was designed for the sighted user with things such as
window previews 3D rotation and sidebars as well as the new colour scheme. So with all that vista will own in my opinion. But as to other aspects other then some security crap nothing has really changed. So in the end it is up
to you. All I am going to say is don't hate on what you haven't tried.

Hey Guys,
What are the indications that Windows Vista will suck? Please
elucidate, for I am also pensive as to why we should be offered such a
new Windows thingy when XP just came out. What is it claiming to have
that XP doesn't, and why do you all not like it so far?

Well, as far as I'm concerned, windows vista will suck and lose, and
just totally be the utter blah.
Thus, I'm not upgrading.
If I can hang on too, and maintain a windows 98 machine for dos
things, then I can surely let this box and future versions of it,
run on xp for a jolly good long time.

Like, oh no! I feel sorry for myself because I only have an 8 MB
AGP card in one machine that I can't see, a 4 MB one in the other
one that I can't see, and two with 128 MB each that I still can't
see! Let's see...
Downstairs, I've got another card with dual VGA support and no
monitors hooked up to it. Why? Because I can't see it! Yeah, correct!
Oh yes, and I feel even sorrier for Farhan, who, because I am
cheap, has a 2 MB PCI card! Moohahahahahahahahahaha!
