I have also used Windows Live Mail for certain accounts for several years and have not had this problem, either. I would say, though, that Windows Live Mail, like Outlook, can get mail from Microsoft email sites using a Microsoft protocol that access folders on that site directly. It is a little like IMAP. Therefore, if something has gotten corrupted on one's LIVE.COM, OUTLOOK.COM, or HOTMAIL.COM site, the problem may be there and not specifically with Windows Live Mail. I would also be very careful to be sure that one has not accidentally created, for example, stationery or a signature file with information that is not intended to be there. There could be a picture, for example, that is large that could be seen as an attachment. Of course, it goes without saying that perhaps a full malware and virus scan should be run just in case.
