I just purchased a Dell desktop and it came with a keyboard as you
described. I contacted their tech support and they said that Dell had a
study and that no one used the num lock key anymore. I guess they did not
include screen reader users. I just purchased a new keyboard with a num lock
on it.

Subject: speaking of Dell computers...
My brother got a new computer with a keyboard that has a number pad. At
the place where the numlock key should be, his keyboard has a delete key
and he only has numeric function of the keypad, Does anyone on this list
have any ideas as to whether there is a numlock key somewhere? Will his
only option for using mouse keys be to use the laptop layout? Thank you.
I am sorry, but this is the only information I have about his system
except that it is running Windows 7.
Carol
