When working in the command prompt you cannot move around with the regular arrows. You can read the screen with the mouse keys.
If the output of a command fills more than one screen and you pipe to more, you need to press enter until all screens have been displayed. If you don't pipe to more, everything should scroll by, leaving you at the prompt. I found an interesting thing when checking it out. If you press the up arrow while at the command prompt, it brings back the last command you ran. If you then type exit, it gets added to the end of your previous command and gives a "command not recognized" error. Very much appreciated. When I do not pipe to more, I cannot seem to scroll down to get to the information that I need or to get to the end of the file, where I can enter the exit command... I recall that Chris G. also said that I could redirect the output of the ipconfig command to a file, as an option. I haven't tried this yet, but, I trust Chris G. _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
