Hi: I ReBooted the computer so can not continue the testing. I hope the past 4 hours of slogging through WindowEyes and Windows 8.1 problems have helped some. If I get any more symptoms I can identify I will post up otherwise this is all I have for now. I will see what my Track Mouse With Focus setting is set to if I can find it wherever it is located - Jim didn't mention if that is a Internet Explorer setting, a Windows 8.1 setting or a WindowEyes setting he was talking about if I remember correctly. But, since the phantom speech is not where focus is suppose to be and the phantom word is under the mouse it is likely the mouse is not tracking with focus anyway. Rick USA
