when I need to bid on an item, I have found that by a long way the best way
to do it is with the iPhone app, for those who have one. this is because I
can find things like the remaining time, confirm bid buttons, ETC. a lot
quicker on the iPhone app than I ever can on the website, which means that I
can leave actually putting my bid in until the last 7 seconds or so, and
have less chance of either being outbid, or having the price pushed up.

According to someone I know that uses NVDA and Ebay full time, the answer is
yes. Especially the hours and days counting down. They said they don't
even bid anymore because it's annoying.
