I experience loss of speech as well with 8 GB of RAM. I don't think it's a Window-Eyes problem, rather Windows itself or the crash of a program component. I've used other screen readers on my tablet and experience the same loss of speech. The fact that we can bring back WE with a hotkey is a major advancement, as I remember the days when we had to go into Task Manager or re-boot with no speech.
