HI Gale,Like you, I have had an increase in the number of crashes and
instances of loss of speech. I am also running Windows vista and WE 9.0.
there has been much talk on this list as to whether the amount of ram on
one's computer is causing these problems but I don't think that is the
problem as I have 6GB of Ram. I also notice that the problems occur more
frequently in the morning which seems strange to me. I have also noticed
that when speech stops, if one waits for about a minute or so, speech will
come back. I really think the problem is related however to things that are
going on in windows and on the network pages. I must admit, I am almost
afraid to click links because I think the page I am trying to reach will
cause WE to stop. Just before righting this note, I tried to click a news
link from the Google news page, and noticed that We was having trouble
reading the page. Upon checking a bit further, IE, had crashed and Windows
was reporting that the program was not responding. I have noticed this many
times. So, not sure what we all can do at this point. but, Not to worry
that your machine doesn't have enough memory.

Hi, I don't write to the list often, However, I have the same type of
speech loss and crashing problems. I have Windows Vista and WE 8.4. I'm
not sure how much ram I have. The speech loss and crashing happens in the
early morning and sometimes with word 2010. Most of the time doing control
alt w brings it back. However, sometimes I have to do a hard reset.
Sometimes even rebooting doesn't bring speech back. Is there any way to
solve this problem? Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks much in
