Hi Chris, When you say, narrator, what narrator are you talking about? And when you talk about your tablet, which tablet are you using? I have an iPhone and am considering getting a tablet. I would like to get a tablet that uses Windows, because that is what I have on my computer, but I don't know which is better for a blind person to use, the iPad or a tablet that uses Windows? And, if I choose a tablet that uses Windows, do I have to get one from Microsoft? Thanks for your help with all of these questions.

After the system reboots just wait, say 20 minutes or longer. If you don't get speech, press windows-enter to load narrator. Use narrator to continue the setup process. When you are at the desktop Window-eyes may load or it may not. Yesterday on my tablet it didn't load. I had to load it manually. Fortunately I had narrator still giving me assistance. Once Window-eyes was running, I pressed windows-enter to turn off narrator.
