yes you can use the numeric keypad mouse and either use the number 8 or the number 2 key and you will be able to hear a line that says it is in protective view, but in that same line there is the word enable. Using the insert key and the number 6 key you can go word by word until you get to the word enable. Press the left mouse click key on the numeric key pad which is the one right to the right of the numlock key and this will allow you to get out of protective mode. I hope this will help you. Rick
