Great, I’m currently using windows 7 and don’t use a password. From what you
say, I can keep these same settings when I upgrade to windows 10.

if you do not use a password to login to Windows 7 and you upgrade to Windows
10 and you choose to keep all your personal files you will not be asked for a
password in Windows 10.

That is what I'm talking about. What do I do about a password when I setup
windows 10 for the first tine? It will ask for a password.

You are kidding? You mean there is no way to use windows 10 without
editing the registry to bypass the use of a password?

No! You have to set password in order to use in windows 10. It's possible to
cancel it, but it' require to use in registry to change it.
