What would be cool is if they could combine the features of jaws and window-eyes to gether, or would that require a rewrite of window-eyes? That would be my idea if I owned VFO. Is that I would take the strengths of jaws and window-eyes and combine them to gether, thus making sure that people had a couple of options for screen readers. Kenny Peyatt jr.

They mentioned Jaws also but said they were very unhappy with Jaws. They demonstrated both for me and I chose window eyes. But 7 years ago when I started my massage business the Bureau of blind services got me a laptop to use for my business. They loaded jaws onto it before they even brought it. So when I booted it up I was totally lost and questioned the trainer that brought the laptop. She explained it was jaws because that was what the government was now paying for. I told her to either get Jaws off the machine so I could put my copy of window eyes on the machine or she could take the laptop right back to the office and tell them I do not want their heolp. Finally after a heated argument she contacted her tech person and he talked her through the install of jaws and I installed window eyes. She told me she knew nothing about window eyes so couldn't help me with the new office 10 they put on the machine. I told her to leave because I did not need any help because I could get great help and supportfrom the window eyes team. Tony, I have to agree with you that Window-Eyes, for a long time has worked with many programs that JAWS never even could work with. The only real reason why JAWS is still the leading screen reader is because Voc Rehab never gave clients choices as to which screen reader they wanted. Due to this, Window-Eyes and other screen readers such as System Access couldn't climb the ladder because Voc rehab like CNIB, RNIB, American blind organisations all had a power grip on JAWS. -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tony C via Talk Sent: Sunday, February 26, 2017 2:00 PM To: Veronica Smith; Window-Eyes Discussion List Subject: Re: Window eyes verses jaws I wonder the same thing. WE has worked with more programs out of the box than Jaws. I switched to WE iin 2004 because a friend and myself were hosting a website and I could not edit half of it using Jaws, WE did it all. I switched and have been a faitful WE used ever since. -----Original Message----- From: Veronica Smith via Talk Sent: Sunday, February 26, 2017 3:52 PM To: 'Window-Eyes Discussion List' Subject: Window eyes verses jaws So for months now you all have been whining that Window eyes is dead, whining that it is going away and whining that it has problems. So what I want to know is JAWS god's gift to man kind? Are they so perfect that nothing ever goes wrong and if that is true why are there so many of us still using Window Eyes. And even more than that, if they, JAWS is so great, why is it I got Window eyes in the first place? I know when I invested in WE, it was the greatest. I'm just saying!
