Larry, You can download Killexplorer from the below link. When you extract the zip, you will find Kilexplorer with ctrl-alt-x.exe. Start this program. When it is loaded in memory, you can press ctrl-alt-x and explorer is killed.
If you want to load it each time your computer is started, you can create a shortcut to it by using the context key. Place the shortcut in the Startup folder.
