V F O is like any other company in the mainstream. I'll buy you off because you pose a threat from a competitive angle. Once your company is bought out, time to KILL IT or render it nearly worthless unless it has the potential to increase and improve the bottom line. Facebook, Google, eBay--they all do the same thing! Microsoft bought Nokia and pretty much killed it. Today, under some interesting licensing scheme with HMD, Nokia is trying to make a comeback to the cell phone industry on the Android platform. Well, it may jolly well succeed; after all, Windows phones were a dismal failure!
EBay bought Skype, didn't know what to do with it, threw it away for Microsoft's grab. Next, it bought Paypal; same story all over. Now it's looking towards the prospects of acquiring Adyen, a Europe-based payment processor. Sprint picked up Nextel and MCI, killed them both. So, don't be surprised at what V F O is doing, it had leaders ahead of it who did likewise.
