Hi,

Thanks for the link to the mailing list, which, in fact, is correct.
I can understand the need to find a supported accessible distribution of Linux.
And yet, the distribution of Vinux which I just installed seems to work fine,
for as much as I might use it.
I also enjoy tinkering, and I can do that well enough using Windows and the
Apple ecosystem, as well as my army of Google Home Minis. Smile.

Thanks once again,

Rod

As another responder told you, Vinux is no longer being developed. If you are
a total beginner I suggest you look at "Slint" which is a branch of Slackware
Linux and is very accessible with a screen reader. Do a Google search for the
download which is about a 4 plus gigabyte download but a very all inclusive
installation and easy to install. The maintainer of "Slint" is a very helpful
person and I understand there is a very helpful user mail list. But, as I said
earlier, the Orca screen reader is not as far advanced as WindowEyes was in
Windows. If you like tinkering then you will like Linux.

I have a link for the Slint mail list but am not sure is it is correct.

Good luck.
