Hi Norene,

Normally, pressing Enter on a link is the same as clicking with the mouse.
I don't use Jaws, but, if memory serves, you can also simulate mouse movement
and clicking functions as follows:
You can route the mouse pointer to the link which currently has focus by
pressing the Numpad Plus key, and then you could perform a left-click of the
mouse using the Numpad Slash key, which is located to the right of the Numlock
key.

I hope this helps,

Rod

Hello Rod,

I know you know a lot about computer. I am using Jaws 2019 and have not
learned much so far. In emails, especially recently, I am told to read things
in the browser. It asks me to click which I do not do with the mouse. Is
there a keystroke that will click instead? Sure would like to figure that out.
 Can you help? Thanks.

Norene

Hi Shannon,

The hot key is Ctrl-Alt-V.

All the best,

Rod

As another responder told you, Vinux is no longer being developed. If you are
a total beginner I suggest you look at "Slint" which is a branch of Slackware
Linux and is very accessible with a screen reader. Do a Google search for the
download which is about a 4 plus gigabyte download but a very all inclusive
installation and easy to install. The maintainer of "Slint" is a very helpful
person and I understand there is a very helpful user mail list. But, as I said
earlier, the Orca screen reader is not as far advanced as WindowEyes was in
Windows. If you like tinkering then you will like Linux.

I have a link for the Slint mail list but am not sure is it is correct.

Good luck.
