I never much liked the idea behind annotations personally. It always felt
like a step back to the days when everything I wrote had a preprocessor
step. It seems like they're the "in" thing though for all sorts of projects
(even my beloved hibernate has them now).
On the more general question though, I at least like going to a single file,
I'm just not all that enthusiastic about using annotations to achieve it.
I'm inclined to withhold judgement though until there's a final complete
project. For right now I'm still on 3.0.3, it still works fine :).
