Well, dang. I just bought a KM184 on eBay. New are about $850. You can
get a used one for around $400. The reviews on the TS-1 sound great,
though I guess they're made in China. I don't have the Neumann yet but
I look forward to trying it out on my mandolin. I have a live/
recording gig Friday. Might be here in time for that. Don't reckon
I'll lose money on it if I don't like it. I've used SM81s, too, to
good effect. For the price, it's hard to be the NT5s. But I'm moving
on up. I'll see if it's worth the rent.
