Hi all,
In most of the stuff I've transcribed, I can hear a certain number of
notes per beat. This is usually 3, 4, 6, or 8, but can be different,
depending on tempo (the faster the tempo, the fewer notes per beat).
The practice routine I outlined above should give someone that
control, as it did for me and a number of my students over the years.
