Pete,

I've now found that the structured practice approach you suggest has
allowed me to play tremolo more confidently, and I can hear what you
say about Gospel Plow and others on that CD, as well as STOMP. The
slow and steady build up has turned into a more fluid sound. I found
that before I was playing with just an estimate of how long I should
be 'tremolo-ing' based on the note value, but it wasn't what I call
steady or with a clear entry / end.

Mike has also exposed me to several "tricky" pieces with lots of
tremolo that needs to be turned on and off. Notably - Black Cat Blues
by Old Pal Smokeshop Four, and - Going Away To Make It Lonesome Here
by Nashville Washboard Band. Aside from the dexterity required to get
these yoga hand style pieces sounding dandy, I love the names.
