Oh yea--this has nothing to do with Brad Leftwich at all, a guy I've
picked with a (miniscule) bit and who I admire

I think it's the same as any kind of social music. It's as loose or
strict as the people involved want. I personally really like things
loose. But sometimes that's not the scene.
