Nice way to try and squeeze some lemonade from lemons. Good on you for
playing for your wife and those other folks.
Hope everything goes well with your wife.

My lovely wife, Nikki, has been in the hospital for the past week having
some heart problems.Docs say she is going to be fine once they get
everything fixed. 7 days in the CCU is no fun
for anyone, but I brought along a mandolin and guitar and have been
playing quietly for her all week.
Sunday afternoon she was napping, so I went into the lobby and was
playing some waltzes and some
Irish tunes quietly, no one there, so I figure I'm not bothering anyone.
Well, someone walking through
found it offensive and complained to the floor nurse who relayed the
message to me. So I put it away
and went back to Nikki's room.. Now I'm no Tater, but most folks find my
playing tolerable. The nurse
comes into the room and says a couple of bed bound folks would like me to
come and play in their rooms.
So I start the hospital tour. I end up playing in rooms for 2 hours, sang
some gospel songs, and had a
great time, then had to do it again on Monday. So, I wrote a tune I'm
calling the Hospital Blues Waltz
and it's not bad, if I say so myownself. Soon as all this crazyness
settles down and I find my nose glasses
I'll post it on the Youtube site. We are hoping Nikki will get sprung
from the hospital today, but no word yet.
So, if life gives you lemons, play the mandolin.
