Just last week i came accross a strange job advert. There in the listings one word 'Clown', a position i thought myself eminantly qualified for, so i investigated further. The position on offer was for a musical clown to join a small troupe which works in the local hospital entertaining the patients. I was a bit dismayed to find that i was actually underqualified for the position but i was gladdened that some folks out there recognize that the road to recovery is much more than pharmaceuticals and surgery. Unfortunately, you will always encounter some folks who will only see in terms of unthinking 'propriety' and, doubtless for them, 'frivolous' things such as music have no place in the hospital.
Personally speaking, i think that in playing for the people in the hospital you can only have helped all concerned and i am glad that the nurse had enough sense to see the people in her care and understand that a few moments of music could only help. I also say well done to you for playing for them folks, it was a very kind thing to do. Finally, i wish both your wife and you well On 8 juin, 19:40, [email protected] wrote: > So, if life gives you lemons, play the mandolin. > > Clyde Clevenger > Just My Opinion, But It's Right > Salem, Oregon > Old Circle -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Taterbugmando" group.
