.. but with the CD images it worked.

I found that (after installing Java 1.6.0 u20 and Graphviz) Taverna
worked as expected, except that the text "Workflow input port" and
"output port" was missing from the diagram.  (I suspect this is
related to fonts installed) The rest of the diagram was working OK.

I find that my Scientific Linux 5.2 (x86) came with dot 2.24.0
(20090616.2323) so I'm not sure how you have ended up with a much
earlier version.

It also came with Firefox 3.0 beta 5, so I assume this distro is
living in the past. I've also not seen a Linux distribution that takes
that long to boot in a long while.. ;-)

I suggest running the update machinery again to make sure everything
is up to date - if you have a graphviz binary from a previous
distribution then it might be expecting other versions of linked
libraries.


Perhaps you could try Ubuntu? ;-)
