Defining  replacement  characters  would  be  a  nice  feature  to  be
implemented.

IMO ThunderBird's behaviour is more proper here :)

In   TB!   it's  possible  to  retype  a  whole  name while saving but
why to do that manually if there are computers to do borring part :)
// especially if it's a compliacted or long file name to be retyped

I  would  be very unhappy if I get an e-mail from a Chinese guy with a
file name in Chinese and I would have to retype it..... <lol>
I would be blessing you guys for half of the day :)

I  am sharing an idea with you to make TB! a better product.
