Not the AV program, but the firewall (KPF4) did its work over here at
the time. Connection to an unusual port was reported, I denied several
times until I finally got wise and blocked that port entirely, only to
read the next day about Blaster.

Back to the subject of this thread, my opinion is that Iwould agree to
an annual fee in order to upgrade. I don't know how Christian Ghisler
survives with giving free updates to his Total Commander. As a user, I
enjoy that of course, but creators of software need to live as well.
If the subscription fee is reasonable (and I look at TB's license fees
and find them reasonable), that is. If you don't pay, you can still
use the version you last paid for, for an unlimited time.
