I still don't think it would be over-charging, but I wrote about it in the past; I won't reiterate. > Can't see why... excessive specialization, proven by nature, results > in an announced death. As always in marketing, 2 experts = 3 opinions (at least). Neither do I see an "excessive" specialisation nor do I find diversification a good idea. It has been done in the past and rarely did a company benefit from it, to the contrary, most of them lost their core competency. And believe me, Germany's companies do learn it the hard way at the moment, from Hoechst (doesn't exist anymore, and Aventis is in major trouble) through Bayer, Volkswagen (why did a company subscribing to selling "people's cars" go into luxury cars, and why did they not just buy Bentley and Lamborghini but also come up with the Phaeton under their own moniker?), DaimlerChrysler, and many others. "Synergieeffekte" it was called about ten years ago. Bad cost management, loss of competency and image it is called now. I'd like small companies sticking to their guns. And RL does a good job at programming e-mail software (not so good in communication, granted). From what I know they also consult. -- Dierk Haasis :Dierk: Copy 'n' Concept The Bat 3.0.2.10 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 Chat info for ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Jabber upon request The 21st century - it's a lot like the 20th except everybody is afraid and the stock market is way lower.
