That sounds most logical (iow "wanted") to me.

With "continue processing" enabled, I can confirm that both the common
filter and the account filter are triggered and working.

I have a common "ignore" filter that for example marks threads with "imap"
in the subject as read, continue processing is set, and then the account
filter moves the messages to the correct folder.
