I also disable auto-format.  However, Alt-L fails to
preserve two spaces between sentences.  So if I use it,
I need to go back and add back the spaces.  This can
make some lines longer than my line length, so more
wasted time fixing that :-(

Without handling this common format rule, this editor
sucks!

Ritlabs should either fix it or let us easily open a
real editor on the text body.

The way it should work is to press a shortcut to enter
the user's choice of editors.  After editing, the user
performs that editor's save and close.  That action
should place the user back in micro-edit with the text
as edited externally.
