But, all the same, I don't enjoy "digging in the bowels" of my computer and additionally I am no way a programmer. So, I guess that my resistance to trying Linux comes under my own characterization of myself as being "lazy." I've installed, instead, a ton of stuff to help back-stop me in keeping safe on Windows. First and foremost, The Bat! , with its great non-IE dependent core and its magnificent Message Dispatcher. And then both a router and a software firewall. And a resource-hog AV that checks for Updates however often I want, and I chose every 57 minutes. And two Trojan-protective apps and spyware apps, including SpyWareBlaster. The Bat! is so neat to run alongside all this. And, although a Linux-congruent TB! is on the Bug Tracker Wish List, it is actually low on my list of needs. In fact, I don't need anything else from The Bat! beyond what I already have, except for it to reliably quote Smileys from the RTV message view, when the "use Smiley icons" box is ticked. ;) I agree with you, however, Gleason, that what I need is no longer relevant to RitLab's business plan. They are right to do whatever they can to be effective competitors to Outlook Express. :) -- Best regards, Mary The Bat 3.5.26 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 3.5.26 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
