I think it is a "trifle" buggy, even for me, in that when I allowed
Windows to close The Bat! for me, the customary "compress all folders
on exit" did not take place. Oh! Just now thought to check--and nor
did it delete the contents of the Trash folder, as it is set to do.

Only when I let Windows close The Bat! are these settings ignored.
When I close it myself--my usual routine--TB! does what I have asked
it to do.

Can you try to notice carefully exactly what else on your machine is
different from mine? So far as I know I don't have a fixed IP either.
Could gmx be part of your internet connection problem? Comcast
provides my internet connection via cable broadband, as well as being
my ISP for the account I'm writing to the list in.
