I cannot remove it by focusing on it and clicking ESC. It appeared there after I had been trying to do some work on the Quick Search toolbar in Customise. But, I'm not absolutely sure that is related. Reason: Roelof told me to send my tbuser.def file to RitLabs as an attachment. When I went into the TB! main directory to find it, I did not have a tbuser.def file. At any rate, I can live with the annoying little blank spot on my message list. I just wish I didn't have to.
