Based upon what MAU wrote, I turned off three features of BitDefender
Antivirus Plus v10: Active (AV) scanning, anti-spyware and antispam.
Then I shutdown and restarted TB. No problem! Then I turned on the
Active (AV) scanning and the anti-spyware but left the antispam off.
Bingo - no more problems now when either starting up TB or when
shutting it down. Great!!!!! I don't need the antispam filter,
anyway. Yahoo, Gmail and AOL all scan for spam, anyway. And I have
the AntiSpam Sniper for TB running, besides.

Thank you MAU - and all the rest of you who have posed such creative
ideas about what the problem could be.

So far, so good!

Adieu,

Bob Riley
