Who said that it's ACCEPTABLE? I understand HTML when people send
commercial newsletters or official goverment letters, but when every
folk on a planet uses HTML only to send a message in red (or whatever)
just to say "Hello, how are you?" it is unacceptable and stupid. It
costs bandwidth, PC HDD space, email server HDD space, more CPU
processing power to parse stupid <font color="red"></font> etc. And
the numbers are huge.

On the one hand I blame Microsoft that they enabled HTML by default in
their so popular mail clients. But also I blame you - tech savy users
- who think that this is the way to go.
