Everything was working fine with the new message base before I had to change the hard disk. Unfortunately my hard disk had to be replaced, hence I had to reinstall The Bat using an older version. This meant that my message base was according to the new version, but the application (Bat) was older. Another complication is that I have more than one account and the location of the messages is in a different directory than the one I had before. At present I have my message database stored in a rar file hoping to find a way to recover it, the older Bat msi file that I used to reinstall The Bat and the new beta exe.
