In reply to your questions: 1. I'm currently running version 4.0.28.4. 2. Many of the folders I looked at with Windows Explorer are empty :( . However,a notable exception is the Inbox. It shows 823KB in The Bat and the TBB file shows 841KB with Windows Explorer. This is one of the folders that I would dearly like to recover. In this particular case I have a TBI file and a TBB file as well. 2.3. After exiting The Bat, deleting the TBI file and restarting The Bat, the messages in this folder are still missing. So that didn't work. Anyway, I checked my rar backup file. I'm beginning to believe that the backup wasn't done properly, because in the rar file there are many empty folders too. Strangely though, the Inbox folder filesize in the rar file is *smaller* than what I now have upon reinstalling The Bat! If there is no way to recover the Inbox, I would like to ask the following. I have an older backup - as a rar compressed file - (dated August 2008) which I could use instead. How can I import those messages to my Bat? I'm thinking about a three stage process: A) Salvage, if possible (how??), my Inbox and any other folders. Save the messages (in what format?). B) Unrar the backup file to a different directory than the one I currently use. Point The Bat to the "new" directory as a home directory. C) Find a way to import the Inbox etc. messages in A) above to the new directory. That's the theory, but I don't know how to do it in practice. -- Best regards, Costas ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 4.0.34.15 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
