Hi Christian,
> Why the HELL do you guys think i should pay for an upgrade to 4.x when > not even half the bugs have been fixed from 3.x?? Well, interface got a slight makeover, hasn't it? Makes it a little harder to read and wastes a little more screen space than before, but it's change, isn't it? And you saying that nothing at all had changed... Now, really. > And since the functionality / design / usage / etc. is still 3.x - > this is ridiculous to call this version 4.x - just because you need > and want to fill your pockets once again. To be frank, the new fee isn't even the core issue for me. I did pay for a new version of Outlook/Office after all, new versions of respectable programs are usually not free. While I can well live with that, I also expect something for it. I want to see the program progressing (as in: getting better, opposed to "regressing", as in TheBat), and I need to be convinced that the developement team has their stuff together. What RIT has demonstrated around here the past few years is a joke. > NO WAY! Of course not. Since the TheBat developement desaster has been established (and this tragedy has been going on for years, let noone say there were no warnings) I've been transitioning the clients I service away from TheBat, some towards free alternatives like ThunderBird, some to Outlook, some to payed products. I'm the only one still using it around here, and that will cease too as soon as I've grown accustomed to the new surroundings in other programs. In the meantime there surely won't be a cent coming out of my own or, for that matter, my clients' pocket going even in the general direction of RIT. -- Mit freundlichem Gruß Alto Speckhardt mailto:[email protected]
