Pegasus Mail has a very nice, FREE, 4.51 version.

As a registered user of The Bat! I read all the discussions here about
pay or not pay for a new update,
remember: Pegasus is free!

I can also advise you to look at other paid programs, like: Clyton,
http://gammadyne.com/eclient.htm
or Pocomail, http://www.pocosystems.com/home/index.php?option=content&;
task=view&id=5&Itemid=25

So, there is more then The Bat!-))
