1. The dreary sounding part in your question can be handled nearly
automatically by "Use Current Window" in PGPTray.
2. 6.5.8 is safe and easy to use (as long as it is a scrutinised
version like the one from CKT).
3. At leaving NAI Phil Zimmermann gave out a statement saying that he
finds the 7.0.3 the best version of PGP made yet
(http://web.mit.edu/prz/).
4. The questions are: What is new? Would you use it? Does anything lack
in 6.5.8 what you really need - and is it implemented in 7.0.3?
5. Since I am quite contend with 6.5.8 (CKT) there has to be done a
lot to convince of 7.0.3 (like publishing the entire code, which will
as it seems not be).
6. An old saying in computer technology: Never change a running
system!
