Well, as a final solution to key mapping, why not make ALL the keys in
Bat redefinable? Some nice ASCII editors for Windows allow this (e.g.
PFE, UltraEdit) and it could be implemented in a similar way.
As per justification, I personally think that it should occur when user
presses whitespace keys only, to avoid the constant jumping of
characters before your eyes - very annoying if you are a touch typer and
actually look at the screen as you type. And also Bat should have a
notion of a paragraph as such, at least as long as the text is being
written, like in Agent, so we would avoid formatting too large blocks of
text by mistake.
